Mule deer hunts will take place on public land in several units in southeastern New Mexico. These are draw hunts with close to 100% chance of draw success due to allocation of tags to outfitters applying for nonresidents. We have good success on mule deer bucks in the 120-160 class with the possibility of larger bucks. There are several seasons to choose from and weapon choice can be archery, muzzleloader or rifle depending on the season. Fully outfitted hunts can be arranged and may be necessary for hunts in more remote areas; prices will vary and will have to be discussed prior to applying. These are enjoyable hunts. Should see plenty of deer with lots of space to roam and have an opportunity to harvest an animal. New Mexico also offersyouth-only either-sex muzzleloader draw hunts on state wildlife areas with a high success rate for nice bucks.
